During Milan Design week Barrie Ho architecture-interior LTD, together witn Get Casa, present the installation The Cube. The open air installation, coated with Thassos MaxFine slabs by FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, welcomes the public that will attend the exhibition “Feltrinelli+Herzog & De Meuron. An urban project for Milan” hosted by SpazioFMGperl’Architettura, a gallery dedicated to displaying and freely communicating architecture, conceived as meeting and engagement point for architects and designers.

According to Barrie Ho Architecture-Interior LTD, the Cube is designed to serve as a relaxing pavilion representing the union and harmony between human being and architecture. The Cube is also designed as a 2.5m x 2.5m cube, to re-define a Primiative Hut by contemporary material. The Contemporary Primitive Hut is punctuated with 9 square perforations that are both decorative to its design and functional to display architectural visual presentation in the benches.

The Cube aptly utilizes MAXFINE to furnish its design. Born from a technology that respects the environment, MAXFINE is a product which is rigorously made in Italy and which has characteristics that are unique in the world: It is the only one that displays a large surface area with reduced thickness (3 and 6 mm) and which is completely polished to guarantee not only an incredible aesthetic quality but also a high resistance to stress. It can vary according to the surface finish, and is ideal for easy adhesive joints, installation as well as transportation.
In summary, the skins of The Cube reveal MAXFINE’s unique qualities in several ways: durable, thin, high density, flexible profiling, easy hole punching, polished edge, easily Jointed with Silicon Adhesive, convenient Installation, easy transport.

The LED lighting on the other hand accentuates the contours of the polished edges and gives definition
to The Cube at night, creating even stronger and more appealing lighting impact.
